Stephanie Macleod, Registered Yoga Teacher and Meditation Teacher, Owner of Saorsa Yoga
I came to yoga after some health problems left me feeling physically and mentally broken. A friend urged me to try yoga and introduced me to a local studio. I found that each class I took had a part in bringing my broken bits back together. No matter how I showed up on my mat, the acceptance I received was instrumental in my healing journey. I knew soon after that I wanted to bring that to other people. I have since completed a 200 hour Yoga teacher training program, the Prenatal yoga teacher training program, and the Restorative yoga teacher training program. Most recently I completed a 200 hour Meditation teacher training program. I am currently studying to become a Menopause doula, as well as a Trauma informed Yoga teacher and a Brain injury informed Yoga Teacher. Towards the end of my Yoga Teacher training, I reconnected with my Celtic roots and found my place in the world and in nature once again. By studying and incorporating Yoga, Contemplative prayer and nature into my life, I now realize that I was never broken – I was just disconnected from myself, and too connected to things outside myself. I have been delighted and feel privileged to work with people looking for their path. Honoured to be invited to help encourage people to show up as they are, while creating a safe place for that to happen, be it through Yoga like movement or the stillness of Meditation.
